I'm always using occidental leather for 24 years in roofing but I'm starting getting old and is time to something lighter, functioning and good quality.

The framer !! I bought these bags in 2023 mid summer comming from Occidental’s they are a a lot better of a set up. The hammer sleeve is awesome the pouches keep enough tools and nails even for a guy who puts around 2000 nails at a time before going back to get more. I was the first to have them in New Hampshire my whole crew followed and bought them they do last better then most.
This is where I’m going to leave the honest review..
I loved the bags for the first year I wore them everyday from commercial frames to residential windows doors finish roofing siding decks etc. I do everything but I frame everyday. When I bought the bags I figured they would last for 10 plus years 3 years later i have my worries for 500 hundred dollars they should have. The bags are light compared to all leather ones. Pencil holders need work the cats paw sleeve will hit your hammer if u run around the job like I do time is money. My hammer looks like my dog chews it on one side do to the cats paw hitting the hammer handle the tape holder on the top left is about the fall off stitching is just not holding up for a guy who brings most of his lumber up ladders old school way. I’m not the only one my part time helper bought the carpenters and same thing is happening not even over a year old. They hold water when it rains out and snows which literly makes a pool in your bags… you need weep holes for draining water out I don’t take days offs from negitve 50 to 120 degrees out. My old man occidental lights have lasted longer with less issues.the buckle was a lot better for a smaller guy as myself I have the suspenders loved them in winter time to help with the jackets needed to stay warm but adjusting the belt to fit can be a nightmare you need either a pick or a nail to even get it undone to lossen or tighten the bit holders barley keep bits in and I mostly just shoot the nail gun for a guy who installs windows at the end of the job or roofing like metal or shingles this can be annoying when u bend over and they just fall out when needs most . My square holder has blown out so bad my sqaure falls out all the time now. The inner material has deformed so bad the stitching holding the front of it is loosen up. I’m not just the layout guy I’m the guy who also builds it my 35 foot tape stays in my bags pretty good on the top right side. The holders for utility knife need work I have to put them on my right side in the divider I prefer it right out front. As framer who actually frames the bags don’t have a spot for a nail gun to be easily available in the front which is terrible. Have you ever tried to put a full sheet of plywood on a wall and grab a gun from behind you in which u can’t see not ideal framers want there nail gun out front so when I put the sheet up I can easily see my nails gun and grab it while still holding the sheet let’s be for real not everyone has 20 guys to hold a sheet and one dude just nailing it like one man army guys need to buy the accessories to just hang a nail gun. The loop on the back right should have been in the front even for an impact it makes sense if you can’t see your tools u can’t use them efficiently. I’d love to have a company actually reach out to framer who is young but does things old school im four generations of builder we have tried ever bag there is my barn full of them. These guys who leave reviews clearly don’t even wear there bags for a whole day nevermind for weeks on end. I’m not saying there junk but for a guy who has to clean them out everyday do to sawdust and dirt and wipe them down do to the work we actually do. Badgers are top of the line in this world but for a master framer there still not perfect I get nothing in this world is but to claim you have blue collar brief case they should last the stitching the hammer holster is ripping at the bottom again just three years old. These guys on YouTube can sell the bags but they don’t use them like a builder could no place for a hammer tacker will it fit in the back loop easily never mind comming out. These bags are more then broken in they are falling apart slowly. If companies reached out to guys in the field everyday I’m sure we could make a set that are just about perfect for most little things add up and yet in the market the big companies need stop letting YouTubers and designers to engineer a bag to sell but to make a bag be a investment in there work flow and life they do no one does a long term review because in this market everything is just throw away and get another. I’d rather buy once and keep then buy twice and throw. I’d love to talk to owners of companies as one as myself which reputation is outstanding. To make products better just for an idea I was the builder that told window companies to put wood on the bottom of window flanges to protect them in shipment and delivery’s to protect them from cracking.. I’ve been in this field my whole life and I will never get out of it. Common sense is something we all need!

Hi Cody, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback.
It's clear your bags have seen years of hard daily use across a wide range of work, and we respect the perspective that comes from putting gear through those kinds of conditions. Feedback from experienced tradespeople is important to us, and we regularly gather input from customers across the trades to help guide future product improvements.
We value both the praise and the criticism. Every tool belt design involves balancing durability, weight, comfort, and functionality, and thoughtful feedback from users helps us continue refining that balance over time.
Thank you for choosing Badger, recommending us to your crew, and taking the time to share your honest thoughts.

Very comfortable, small profile with just as much storage as my old oxys. It's only been a week but I can wear them for a 12 hour work day with no hip fatigue. Love them so far.

Absolutely best set of bags I have ever had money well spent. Been framing for 15 years and tried multiple brands but nothing compares to Badgers. I will never buy anything else rest of my career.

The belt should be moor adjustable because we whair different clothing throughout the builds , also seems that items like chalk line tape measure are too snug because I use larger gloves during the cold days , when sheeting a roof toolbelt should be able to hold a large amount of H clips and chalk line . The waight of the toolbelt is excellent but the pockets are too small for my needs, had to buy a extra nail puller holder and hammer holder the sleeve places the hammer in the wrong spot when walking on wals around tresses im proud to where a nice toolbelt but the price is way to high for these problems, I would like to receive some extra accessory holders to compensate my unsatisfaction.

Really light weight, suits perfect. Lots of inside pockets and room for nails, strips, screws, etc. Game changer for something that you carry on yourself for hours!

Lightweight. Lots of pockets for storing stuff and the weight doesn't feel that heavy on my hips with the suspenders even though im able to carry more in my new bag than I had in my old bags. Coming from toughbuilt cliptech pouches and belt, this is a huge upgrade and a long time coming, thank God!
